SubLIME

The SuBLIME software is an implementation of an algorithm for automatic segmentation of incident and enlarging multiple sclerosis (MS) lesions in brain magnetic resonance images (MRIs). The SuBLIME algorithm requires two MRI studies -- a baseline study and a follow-up study. From each study a T1-weighted, T2-weighted, fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) and proton density (PD) volume are required as well as a binary brain mask for removal of extracerebral voxels. These studies must be coregistered within study as well as longitudinally between studies before using the SuBLIME software. The time (in days) between studies must also be entered into the software.

SuBLIME is a fully automated and computationally fast method that allows for sensitive and specific detection of enlarging and incident lesions. The reference for the SuBLIME algorithm can be found here: http://www.ajnr.org/content/34/1/68.long
